If you come to Scotland, don't leave it in your pocket as failure to display will get you a £30 or is it £60 ticket (can't remember which) from the nasty boy's in blue.

So when someones knicked it of your bike it's the same result!!!,the last tax disc that i put on a bike must have lasted all of a fortnight!!

As in Scotland in N Irelad if you do not display your disc you will get fined! I think its £30. :wink:

Tis the same in England, but I've never been ticketed after hauling it out from under the seat

You must mean the traffic warden type of ticket producer :D ...I was meaning the proper sort of Traffic Policeman has never ticketed me.

mine came attached to the front brake caliper! can't remember how...

now resides under seat with puncture repair kit after original was removed from London parking bay..

Off the threaded holes on the back of the lhs pillion peg hanger. What are those holes for anyway, it doesn't look like the pannier rails use them?

Mine have bolts in them for the panier rails,

Hah, I got all youse guys beat. For the 'S' I've tossed out the whole shootin match...tax disk, registration (well, the frame plate is still there). Of course, it's only good for the track now...

But for the GS, the tax tag is under the seat with the owners manual (believe it or not, this was suggested by a copper I went riding with one day.)
