Got a technical query? Found another 0.02bhp? Ask/tell the world.

I would think twice about challenging Gromit to a race - even on a Hog.

Hope to get something fitted this weekend so your thoughts would be gratefully received.
Never used the RR's but always find that dunlop have a great front tyre and turn much quicker than metzelers, as long as you don't mind the rear wagging around a bit. Sportecs I found the best but every set I fitted punctured. Currently running D220 dunlop (its a price and durability thing  ). Std 208's I actually loved but their half life was measured in nano seconds and the one set I fitted punctured.

I am currently running BT 020's as the bike came with a brand new pair fitted. They seem okay but as I have been riding 'gingerly' in the wet I haven't had much chance to really test them. They seem okay but I have had the rear feel a little unstable in the really crap/greasy weather. Any comments on these??

Cheers

I have had two pairs of bt 020, and cant fault them for grip and feel, even in the wet, but they do square of quickly. Now running pilot roads and very happy with them, although only done 2K on them so far.

:? Oh well, there on now. Whata bloody palarva getting the rear end in the air on a BCR! Two very tall axle stands, a weight lifting bar (suitably protected) and a fireman to help lift the thing on to the stands. Christ! this thing weighs a ton!

All I need to do now is find someone to help me lift it off the axle stands now the wheels are back on!!

I will let you know how I get on with them. Decided to buy a 180 for the rear rather than risk the 190.

Off to Ebay to sell the 190

My opinion,.. Metz Z6 Roadtech's, .... not the hottest rubber on the market,.. but they last forever. They feel like crap after about 6,000,.. but you'll get the same miles again before they start flashing the canvas. But there again, ... I am totally 'Broke', .. but Despatching is still the only job I can find where somebody pays me to ride a bike for 10 hours a day.
