Wider tyres = greater rolling resistance usually. Maybe that's what he was thinking. That was my first reaction. But on then on second thoughts maybe too narrow a tyre on sand could actually increase rolling resistance by sinking?

Either way, guy came up trumps and good on him. Really enjoyed the program. Good team effort too.

Bring on the next one. Looks interesting to say the least!

Really enjoyed it.

I think they would have gone faster on a proper road, can't imagine that beach was first choice, but maybe there was no other choice....

Guys a legend. And a funny one at that! :D

Just watched the second part...hydroplaning on a bike, pure quality. Not a bad advert for Suzuki either.

I like Mr Guy a lot but must admit was a tad disappointed with this latest episode. Too much changing stuff and adding bits on. I know the Guinness book of of R say they can do it but Mythbusters did a very similar thing in the summer without all the add on bits and they reckon they achieved at least 300 ft. before he disappeared beneath the wet stuff. And why spend over £700 on a bespoke strain gauge when in the end a common bathroom scale does the same job....and shouldn't they have tested it first you know just to check to see if it's working.

Here's hoping the next one is a little better!

He's still completely bonkers and a good lad 8)

Sure he must have had a sore neck after nutting the water so many times with a road helmet on?? :? Again enjoyable, even the missus stays awake whilst its on.

Now he says he wants to do 200mph what! on a pushbike

Some quotes from Mr Guy in last Saturday's Telegraph.

I've had sideburns since I was 16 but then a gust of wind would have blown them off. I was racing in Australia we all got drunk one night one of the lads pinned me down and shaved one off. They thought I'd shave the other off but I just spent ages with one sideburn!

TT. I'm an amateur motorbike racer - it's not my job but I've done alright it's good because if I don't get the results I want I've got that excuse. But when I beat the other boys I say 'it's your job and you still can't beat me!'

I broke my back and eight ribs in one crash on the Isle of Man in 2010 but I didn't mind............had a week in hospital and then a week off work!

Going to Cuba for a holiday. Once you're outside the touristy thing it's mega it feels really backwards. Lincolnshire is still a bit backwards and I like that!!

Technology. I have no TV so I never see myself and just an old Nokia.

Spanners. The bloke from Snap-on said mine was the most thorough spanner collection he'd ever seen!

Routine. I'm up at 5 a.m. porridge for breakfast then bike (pushbike) to the Scania garage where I work which is about 19 miles each way.

You have to respect Mr Guy don't you

He sure crams a lot in to his life and good for him. This week looks hairy, flat out on a tea tray.
