hmmm, didn't think that through. i'm guessing i'll need more than the 3 cannisters.

edit
8-9lbs per canister. i shall need some spares. should be enough to get to a gas station slowly though.

Steve, did you get yours from the UK. I am loath to spend £35 on carriage. More than loath actually, i'm just not doing it.

I've got one of these

they're also badged by the RAC as their own too. It's quite a compact unit and fits in the pannier hardly taking any room really

Thanks for that Steve, it looks alright. I saw one oin Halfords today but it was just a bit too big. I only use a bagster tank bag and a 32 ltr ventura so space is at a premium. Don't suppose you have the dims do you?

Yes mate, I bought it from my local dealership bout 4 years ago I think, £25 back then, but I have seen them for sale in dealers since.

You do realise that all those compressors have similar internals . The large plastic box they're mounted in isn't required  ( although I've used and carry a mini cycle type pump ...)

I can't make out which seal has blown but the plastic seal cover is particularly soaked in oil

and my rear tyre is going to take some cleaning

and the eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted the nail in the tyre that was just there to pour salt on my wound

Think I'd want to do a bit of research on the net regarding oil impregnating of tyres - just in case the grip is compromised even after cleaning/buffing.
