If it helps any the larger battery (for heated grip / abs equipped bikes) has the same part number as many other bmw bikes

So you can choose from others if your's is not specifically listed

For instance, on the list of having the same battery is the K1100RS

If you search for K1100RS motobatt on ebay it comes up with

I just go cheap, ones you top up yourself. Original did not last 5 minutes (slight exaggeration) but I reckon you can afford to buy 2 cheap ones for one overrated one that can still leave you stranded.

Buy a cheap battery at your own perril you are asking a lot from a small battery you have no kick start and the Rseries are bastards to bump
Varta good batteries but don't seem to like the vibration of a twin and split

Buy odyssey or motobatt or join the AA or RAC remember your call outs are limited with your free cover on your insurance or bank account

You could buy a cheap battery it's the same as a odyssey or motobatt

No it's bloody not

Near enough all the cheap batteries will come from a sweat shop in the far east with no quality control some may be ok some will be crap

If you want to fit a cheap battery do so but put a fully charged car battery and jump leads in one of your panniers
