Rainbow in Rotherham are particularly good on the sales front, all very friendly and willing to talk, but not pushy in any way.
Your BB is easily sellable in a dealership... If someone walks in looking for a cheap bike and was confronted with a 2k ish Blackbird in a show room full of 4k various 600s.... Hard to say no IMO.
Kin ell mate give the dealers a break and take a reality check on wot you just said

Which part? didn't think I was being harsh at all......

I'm scratching my head too Steve.
Admittedly my rant was aimed at only one dealer - and he does carry a stock of what looks like very nice bikes; all clean and tidy and not too overpriced either. Despite that I left the place with no desire whatsoever to buy a bike from him.
I went into Webbs in Lincoln a few weeks ago for a browse and the guy in there was a shining example of how to treat a potential customer. Couldn't have been more helpful. After an hour or so nattering about all and sundry bike-related stuff, I left thinking 'hmmm I'll definitely buy a bike from them should I want a Triumph or Yamaha'.
A customer's first visit to a dealer should always be a positive one. All it takes is good manners. Costs nothing, achieves a lot.

And this is where the problem lies......and its not just bikes.

This. Very much this.
I like to dress down significantly when buying expensive things.
I have walked out of several dealerships after making complaints to the boss about the attitude of their staff.
Its why I don't really bother with dealers anymore.
