Just ordered a pair of Conti Motions for the BB so we'll see how it goes. £141 from Round & Black so not too bad - Roadsmarts are coming out at £235+ for a pair!! Blinkin' eck!!!

Good to hear. :)

Seems there's very little bad press for the C'motions so will look forward to trying them soon.

In my experience continental have QC issues. I've had more than one fail for bubbling or uneven wear. I don't buy them any more. The last one wore out after about 800 miles. I left for a tour Ireland on a new rear, and was worried that I would not get home.

I've had four tyres on the FJR since, and the Avon's have worn normally.
So they may be cheap, and you may get a good tyre, but I've lost confidence in them, and wouldn't go far from home on one.

I did 1300 miles in one wet but fast weekend in the highlands on mine and they were great :)

I've just fitted one to the rear of my Rt 12.
It did 500 miles round Wales at the weekend and I'm banking on it doing another 5k including a track day at Folombray in France with Rapid on my way back in July.
Seem fine to the edge so far, wales did chew the rear a little.

Spent the last couple of days scrubbing the Contimotions in and I can report that they feel just great. Not as quick steering as the Roadsmarts, but they do give a really comfortable ride quality. The RS's are more fidgety although they do steer really well and grip superbly. Interestingly, every tyre I've used on the Blackbird has run 42/42psi but the Conti's are 36f/42r, the only ones available which do.

For 160 quid fitted to loose wheels, at my house by Mark from Mobile-Bike-Tyres, I'm not complaining. :)
