What's the ugliest bike poll in MCN

I'd agree Steve - I've never been a fan of the Agusta F4, too 'busy' looking and the Brutale was just a dog's dinner to my eyes. I always liked the Ducati SS models (the 600/750/900 & 900SL) as they were simple, uncluttered bike which didn't look as though they were trying too hard. I also preferred the 888 to the 916.slparry wrote:I'm not sure Italian design is half as appealing as it used to be. It sometimes seem they're trying to hard
The Guzzi Griso's a pretty thing - simple, minimal bodywork, wrapped around a big lump of a V-twin (that Guzzi lump is still one of the nicest looking engines every made imho) and the 1100 Breva - whilst looking somthing like an 1150R - is a nice looking bike too. The Stelvio's horrid though.

I'm just glad that we have seemingly left the motorised shellsuits of the 90s behind. I think one of the reasons that Ducatis in particular looked so good in that period is that single colours looked refreshingly clean and classy.
I agree the Guzzi Griso is a fantastic looking bike, the SE in particular. I also like the way it doesn't have bits of plumbing and wiring all over the place like the R12s.
I also had a 750ss, half faired, that I loved, but commuting into central London on it almost crippled me!

No it's real. Apparently 4 were built for $60,000 each.Steve1200S wrote:That engine look so small and plastic..... Is it fake?el-nicko wrote:.
Well all my mates recon this is ugly but I must have a blind spot 'cos I think it's quiet nice.

Not that bad looking I don't think...

Wiki, him say......
In 1994, Morbidelli constructed an innovative shaft-drive, five-speed, 32-valve, liquid-cooled, 847 cc, 90° V8, sport touring motorcycle, but its high price meant it would not be economically feasible to produce. The Guinness Book of World Records listed it in 2001 as the world's most expensive motorcycle.[7] Because of the bike's exotic design, it was displayed in The Art of the Motorcycle at the Guggenheim Museums in New York, Bilbao and Las Vegas. An example can also be seen at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

And IIRC they had to be crated up and returned to the factory in Italy for servicing, can't think for the life of me why they didn't sellel-nicko wrote: No it's real. Apparently 4 were built for $60,000 each.

[quote="Twinspark"]Have to agree the R1200ST should be in there - thing is, it wouldn't have taken a lot to sort it, the big issue is the top fairing and headlamp.quote]
I agree they ain't the prettiest bike ( I ride one

However if you had ridden one in the dark then you'd appreciate the headlamp.

There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

You certainly could! And don't get me on to 'appreciating the headlamps' (miss-quote)....slparry wrote:difference being you could ride them in the darkMcBoxer wrote:Not ugly in the dark? I 'knew' a few girls like that in my younger daysThe Teutonic Tangerine wrote:
