Now you mention it I do :) . We were all pressing on a bit. Obviously wasn't trying hard enough, the ABS didn't cut in at all :oops:

now now it's a well known fact that we all keep to 5 mph less than the posted limit on rideouts ;)

I haven't really looked at one of these in the flesh yet ,but these photos keep drawing me to the vertical intakes and lower exhaust ports.
It looks so different from previous incarnations , they've been around so long I guess..

I agree Nigel - it really does look odd, seeing as we're so used to the horizontal intake/exhaust line on Boxers of yore. One good thing which could come out of this - fewer burnt legs when pushing the bike around. :)

I only just noticed the exhaust/intake location. Not sure about that... The engine just doesn't look as good as the 1200.... It's a shame the old engine will be dropped in the next few years...

I think a retro R1200R should be kept in the range with the existing engine.

Ive a 1200rt with esa and in sport mode it handles well enough for me :)
