Ha ha :!: Well that certainly explains a few embarassing encounters with cars I've had over the years Mike.
I'm sure lots of us will be watching your project with interest so I hope you'll be taking pic's at every stage  I'm wondering, is it possible to alter the gearing on the 11s to take full advantage of such a large increase in available power?

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Fair enough but as a general point I'm wondering; Is it possible to alter the overall ratio? Obviously it's not going to be as straightforward as it is on a chain driven transmission bike. Perhaps some of our fellow Trixters also have a view. :)

maybe I should put together a kit for the R1100S, as soon as I have got mine fitted and road tested.

Many, Many, Years ago Chris (winger) and Lloyd looked into the possibility of changing the gearing in the final drive unit--Sorry but its just not going to happen. Too much time involved in setting the thing up to make it worthwhile.

We don't have a bike test in my part of the world (yet) but while perusing the car test manual recently (another story) I came across this
Note: If a vehicle is presented with a Nitrous Oxide (NO2) injection system fitted, it should be failed under Reason For Failure (4) above

4 Unsuitable fuel tank
 :?

What do you have to do - to trick the AirMassFlow meter into chucking in more fuel?

Blackal you dont!

when running a nitrous system it operates totally separate from the bikes system.

you pump in both nitrous and fuel. the jets in the nitrous system mixes them to the correct ratio. Basically, you tap into the fuel line and pump it in direct.

It is not a fuel tank so they cant get away with that statement.

Nitrous Oxide is not a fuel, it's not inflammable. so its tons safer than the alloy tank carrying gallons of highly inflammable "petrol" right between your knees.

James May said on TV a few months ago in some program that I was watching. If they tried to invent a car now, it would be banned instantly! there would be no way we would be allowed to drive around in a tin box next to gallons of highly inflammable liquid. basically a bomb!

Health and safety wouldn't allow it!
