Hi Andrew - yup, baffles in. Chatting with the Boxercup guys at Donington a couple of years ago (when they were still running the older Laser system) they reckoned the bike runs better with the baffles in place. Their advice is good enough for me!!
I've heard really good things about the FIM chip - reckon I might give Pro-Twins a bell, especially if they've got chips already mapped for the S and the various mods.
I'm not convinced the Laser chip likes the unrestricted intake mods. You're right though - the motor does spin up a lot faster with the induct.
The Lennies/K&N combination gets on very well with my existing Vanderlinde plus own chip by the patented sop measuring system. Will be interested to compare with Bobs when we get to PDQ in the spring.

It's not how fast you ride, it's how you ride fast.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.
Finally got out on the bike for a test run since fitting laser y piece, k&n & lennies induct, definatley spins up quicker, but distinct lack of low/mid range torque, just as Richard says, except , I have the original chip. have to say I'm not keen on the new noise though, I'll have to look around for some road legal laser cans methinks
I'll try & live with it as is, but might put the original induct back on to compare.

Can bring mine along too - should be finished blinging it up by then.
Prizes for the most torque and RW BHP?
I'm haveing to do some homework!! as shock horror the bike i went to Poole to collect(for a work mate) is standard, which Laser pipe do you have??,i'm lead to believe the Laser road pipe has a single pipe were as the race pipe has two,i've an option on a race pipe but obviously don't want get into the same hassle your haveing.
I know this is an old thread but I have had a little time now with my new induct. The oposite observation has been noticed.
My 2003 twin spark S is running remus cat eliminator, lasers with baffles in, bbpower chip on stage 3 K&N and now the induct.
WOW this induct makes a massive difference in mid range torque. the drive is incredible. It picks up from 3000 and drives in any gear. its smoother lower down also it is missing the big step it had between 5800 and redline though. I am not sure if its because the bike is travelling so much faster anyway. I find it has slightly more in the way of vibes at 4500 ish
Think I will have a try on stage 4 for a week or so.
any one running this set up with advice?
its time to start looking at Wilbers now. pretty chuffed with the engine performance now
Your haveing to deal with the problem of the bbp chip,is your bike running right?? weak? rich?,do you need more or less fuel in certain areas, one way or another there's isn't too much you can do about it,apart from put it on a dyno and have a look, and say three hail marys!!,of course it may just be you got lucky,it's just that the next time you've got it on the stop, the thought might go through you mind is the mixture right!!!!
It is really taking a chance doing too many mods without knowing the fueling is spot on as Winger says.
Too much fuel hurts the pocket and isn't making the most of the set up.
Too little fuel hurts the pocket as burning a hole in a piston crown is expensive to fix. Found this out to my cost some years ago with an expensive Italian car engine.
A dyno check is a must for peace of mind.
Anyone know somewhere good in the midlands? Maybe have a Trixter session booked with a discount?

lol: Well when its on the stop all I can think about is oh shit this feels good, mixture don't come in to it
love the chip, exhaust induct combo suppose I am looking for the holy grail
bloodline,cup,bloodline,cup
If your looking for the Holy Grail, then gods knows what i've been chaseing,,most peoples list of mods cost wise don't add up to what i've spent in Ti nuts bolts and wheel spindle!!!.
