I'm not going to put his name up,unless he wants to,even a couple of years ago the only cheap way to get them was from the States and all the hassle that involved, some how he got them in without the duty!!!.

Chances are you can now you can buy e'm just as cheap here, the important bit with HID make sure their ajusted right, people get real arsey when you come behind them if it's a tad on the high side!!!

Well I have now fitted them and they work a treat. I still need to road test them... but they light up my finca like never before.

I tried all the positions mentioned above and could not find a single position, where the stanchions were not touching or where the fairing sides were forcing them over. I tried various positions for approx. 3 hours before deciding on the position shown in the fotos.

I installed both ballasts as I will run both main and dip beam where I live.

I fitted them around the fairing and head stock bracket. A flange on the same bracket stops them from moving south... but some foam filled double sided tape adds a little security.

I made a spacer to go between the lower ballast mounts so this could be niipped up tight, with the top ballast mounts tightened around the bracket directly.

If the suspension were to completely bottom out it would still clear the ballasts by about 1.5 inches.

On full lock, both sides just miss the stanchions.

All the connectors were placed downwards to avoid water ingress... although the connectors are all water proofed.

I hope this helps future installers.
