Bugger went out to the garage this morning to find my back tyre flat! new only done 400 miles

Remove back wheel put in car and drive to work

Whilst driving to work the old memory banks kick in and I seem to remember that Avon had a warranty on new tyres IE if punctured within a certain mileage they would replace said tyre FOC :?:

So I phone Avon and state my new Storm st has a puncture after only 400 miles and

:wav:
:wav:

No problem Sir just call youre tyre supplier and we will replace it for you no charge (other than fitting)

Happy bunny

Bob

Mind you at the mo it's all talk I will report back when it actually happens.

Offer only applies to storm ST.

And the moral is: Use a less abrasive polish next time you clean your tyres Bob

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Bob, did BMW cover the repair of your final drive oil leak under warranty in the end?

Hi Paul,

Yes they did, they originally said thy would contribute 80% towards labour but nothing towards parts.

As it was only the outer seal which is an in situ repair.

However the dealer never billed me for the ballance.

(Yet)
