Yes. yes. yes. I knew someone would have to a draw a parallel with the guy that bangs on about the 12S. I am not against supersport based bikes (My last bike was a 954 fireblade) but you do have to admit that it would be nice to have a current boxer that could be ridden for long distances in some kind of comfort other than the touring RT or the horrific ST. Some of us are getting on and our joints cant handle being scrunched up like a racer for 400 miles.
This HP should sell, but have BM got their marketing nickers in a twist, they spend years getting punters into the 1100s,cut e'm off at the neck with the 1200s,then introduce a sport model!!!
Added!!!!! feck me your haveing a larf, the hassle i'm haveing trying to get a K1200s without all the shite on,is boardering on the impossible,i was told today, there's one and thats in NI.!!!!
They put it all on as stock, and then charge extra, clever shit e'h

Yeah, bummer...but then there is the different fairing, carbon fibre everywhere, adjustable foot pegs, auto shifter that can be adjusted to give a race shift pattern, lap timing transmitter/receiver, forged wheels, radial brakes, premium suspension as standard, race tuned ABS, smaller/lighter alternator and there was something else - oh yeah, overhead cams resulting in both 10 more HP and a narrower motor.
Here in Oz, the price for a standard R1200S is around AU$24.5k. All the stuff above for only a AU$6-7k premium seems a bargain.
If enough is enough and more is better than too much should be just about right.
With what i paid for my 1100 in the first place, and what i've spent on it since,i'd probably get some change out of 14500,but my marriage would also be going down the pan with only a single seat!!!
