Two Pipe System for Front Brakes

Post by snavetrauts »

Hi, Does anyone have a picture of the routing for the twin pipe system for the front brake..... I currently have the "across the mudguard" fixed pipe system and need to measure up the lengths etc etc.

Perhaps the BCR pipes would fit.. mine is a 2003 non abs bike??

Thanks for your help

Stuart

Hello mate ... I have a 2002 BCR and that has the across the mudguard link as well.

HEL do a two line kit (well, three if you want the back one) for the R1100S ... www.h-e-l.co.uk ... which I want to do sometime soon ... £70 for three lines isn't too bad either.

Always been pleased with them in the past and I have a local manufacturer (in Tadworth) that sells via eBay cheap(ish) and you get free stainless nipples (always a good thing :D )

Thanks Horse27 I have contacted them by e-mail asking for the lengths.... I have raised my bars above the yoke and needed to know the lengths.

I will keep the forum posted

Cheers again

Hi all,

Try www.vyxxn.co.uk They supplied me with two HEL hoses for the front when I fitted my Rapid dog bar risers. I had them made to order in black covering and banjo's. £54 for both.

The R/H/S was 730mm long and the L/H/S 740mm. If your just lifting the bars above the top yoke then you can knock 20mm off both lengths. BMW built the R11 with three different variations of caliper in 2002/3 so I had to describe the banjo fittings to the guy at Vyxxn but they got it right first time, next day delivery too.

Cheers,cobbster.

You could try my local HEL dealer (CMS in Tadworth)...

http://www.cmsheluk.co.uk/

They sell via eBay at £69 for three lines (inc. stainless bleed nipples)

Cheers.
