Hi all, I,ve been reading some of the topics on the site and have enjoyed the discussion and humour immensely. Have also picked up a solution to my bike stopping when it gets wet; thank you.

Lets see, I currently own an R1100S (99), its travelled about 46,000k's and has a staintune pipe fitted (sounds nice!) and I must admit to visiting the dark side with a R1200ST. The ST was and is a big dissapointment, mushy suspension and a touring riding position which this has caused emotional damage that is only just repairable by its sale! What was I thinking? Have done a deal with the friendly Beemer dealer and get to keep my shirt as well as take home a new R1200S (Black with Ohlins) next week.

The 1100S will go to a new home, but will be missed.

Ah yes, I live in Coledale, NSW which is just below Sydney right in the heart of God's country (whom ever your God might be), with a nice twisty road at my door step and a beach on the other side.

I'm looking forward to a touring range of 200 + K's and fitting my tank bag and panniers when they arrive. :wink: My better half seems to think the seat looks a little thin though, perhaps a sheep skin or air seat will suffice.

Welcome to the madhouse, WayneL. It's a long way to come for a weekend Boxertrix meet but you would get the prize (if we had one!) for furthest distance travelled :lol:

Thank you for the welcome gentlemen,will try my hardest to be punctual in the future. I wasn't going to mention Cricket at all really but now that some one has...sorry lads! As unAustralian as this may seem , most aussies would have enjoyed a good tough contest, just the same as you guys. But in hindsight, winners are grinners! Just don't mention Johny Wotsaname and the rugby!(still bitter)

Will post a first ride impression of the 1200S later in the week.

I was in Sydney for the night last week and went over to Manly for brekky and a spot of surfing and it was BLOODY CLOUDY.

I hope the eggs were good Captain, its a hell of a long way to go for brekky. This damn El Nino is unreliable. As for Mr Blocking Bandit..thats the quere folk that live in UnZud (NZ) that are the sheep enjoyers!Apparently they call them Blondes?
