I believe that one of the biggest factors after age is post code.
I have a rural. low-risk post code, I'm over 40, and I have both an R1100S and a R1200S on the insurance through Carole Nash. Cost was £230.
I'm pretty sure they are amongst the cheapest as I have a cheapskate Lancastrian for a wife who will happily send the best part of a week phoning round for the best quote.
Tried ebike, got it down to £464 that includes an little 125 suzi i've got too.
Interestingly, changed the start date to Jan.....Saved £50!
Not taken it out yet, gonna see if the 125 will pass an MOT, if not, i'll not bother insuring it, its only worth a couple o hundred anyway. Not insuring it should bring the price down to about £360 inc legal and breakdown

But 2 years no claims!!!,one presumes you've been throwing yourself down the road at some time!!!
Once or twice but never claimed, its just what Ive got, only been riding two years!
Around £90 each for mine and Judes, but it is much cheaper here in France. Did I tell you how much the road tax on both bikes and the car is? £0 as we don't have that here either.
Sorry folks, just had to say it.
when i got my bike i rang swinton £240 fully comp , then again iam old and live out in the sticks , mind a pal of mine rang H&R (their in mcn) they were mega cheap they also work car no claims aswell , so if you have afew years no claims on your car that works for you with them.
Just paid £170 for my brand new bike with Devitt DA (BMW insurance) fully comp, and if I add another BMW it only costs £10.50 for each bike up to 4 bikes.
