well got a letter in the post today and its a safety recall , so i gave them a ring to find out whats up , fuel line , brakes, chip/relay something to do with fueling, the list went on and on , bloody hell, so it booked in at mill bmw next thursday , anybody else got a letter

I got a letter for my stolen T reg but nothing for my currrent T reg.
Has anyone had the backfiring up the throttle body recall?

was the rear drive knocking in traffic or is that normal?

Not as far as I know Dicky. I think it was simply a spacer or similar. Ive not had any knocking in traffic thought

Nah, my 11s has a slight knock in on / off low speed riding. They all do that sir, I was told.

well took the bike into mill bmw , the service manger told me they are sending for parts from germany and i wont get the bike back till mid next week their was a bloody big list of parts going off the numbers on the job card , thats it its up for sale when it comes back, ive never had recalls before its put me right off the bike

A tad unfair I think Kev. At least BMW take the trouble to recall and fix bikes if they suspect they might have a problem rather than some other well known maufacturers who would rather just let you find out by yourself. Obviously its no fault of theirs when sub frames snap or suspension fails, its the fat bu**ers who sit on them
