Been registered for a while now, but never said hello.
Just bought me R11S 2 weeks ago, and it has been one of the best buys I have done. Previous bike was an FJR and I wanted something more sporty, lighter and with more soul than the turbine FJR. Accidentally came across this very pretty S, went to take a testride and traded in the FJR to ride home the S.
Here's some pictures.
It's got the sports package, white signal lights and some other goodies, but the shopping list is already growing.
I really get this bike. It's alive. It brings out the hooligan in me.

Welcome aboard. Think you should know it's an 'R', though, not a 'K'.
It's a little, er.....
LOUD !

Oops, slip of the finger.
Of course it's R.
And yes, it's loud. Ripped off the cans for some stock ones, while I decide on either a Staintune or Laser.

Welcome, You have course have bought the best and most poular colour..(It just happens to be the fastest colour too).
I have always wanted to see what mine might look like with a belly pan.... not sure I like the look of the rear discs though.
Have fun

The rear disc would look better with the matching front, but hey, it came with the bike.
Don't always have all the choice when buying 2nd hand.
Then again, it came pretty much pre-farkled, so I can spend more money on some other stuff that I'd like.

Hmmm.......shiney forks!! I remember those, I think?
Does anyone know if that's a standard boxercup bellypan or an aftermarket job? It doesn't look the same as the one PB had advertised on fleabay.
Hello, good evening and welcome by the way. Nice looking bike. Pity the black bits slow the bike down compared to all mandarine!

Aftermarket. It is a copy of the bellypan used in the Boxer Cup Race series, but with allowances for the side-stand.
The BCR carbon fibre ones were a completely different shape and gave greater ground clearance.

What you need the extra clearance for? First thing that hits the ground are the valve covers..

Not for cornering!! Clearance for road humps, ramps and other obstacles e.g. when entering, negotiating and leaving car parks in fields etc.
I remember somebody having major problems at the Popham Mega-Meet a couple of years ago.

Throttlemeister...? A.K.A. 'Afterburn' on the
www.boxer-forum.nl R1100S topic?
The 'previous owned a FJR' thriggered my memory. I'm also an active (reader) of the mentioned forum. Welcome aboard!

I know.. I had just about every option on my VFR which I still regret selling. The black hole is pulling me already again.
