Seeing as it's such a nice day, I came out this morning intending to use the bike, so defrosted both cars and swapped them round on the drive so that the wife could use hers, got all the gear on, bike out, shut the gates - you know the palaver - and ..... nothing. Key in, starter switch to 'vertical'....no noise! Play around with key switch on/off a few times, waggle the kill switch, pull the fuse from the left hand box. Looks fine, so gave it a wipe just in case of condensation and put it back in. Still no pump.
I was out on it on Monday afternoon where it got a little wet and mucky so I washed it off Monday night (no jetwash but did use a hose to rinse) and it has been in the garage since.
The starter will crank up and the engine turn over, so I can't see that being sidestand switch or hall sensor problems. Nor do I think that is battery related. I put is back on the Optimate once back in the garage and it went to the 'slight top-up' light, not a 'fully knackered get a new one' light.
Is there a relay for the pump as well that may be at fault or is this potentially a terminal pump?
