I am contemplating replacing the rear shock and having trawled the forums it appears there can be an issue with removing the lower bolt whereby it will not clear the exhaust pipe on certain aftermarket systems/Y pieces.
Whilst reasonably happy to attempt replacing the shock I'm not overly keen on having to drop the Y piece off. Having assessed removing the bolt if it has to come out square all the way along its length it will not clear the pipe. There does however look to be a slim chance that if the bolt can be angled and wiggled towards the rear over the last 10-20mm of being withdrawn it will just clear.
If anyone has attempted this, specifically with a Remus Y piece, I would be interested to hear. Thanks Bob.

I have done this with a lazer y piece if you undo the 4 bolts holding the y piece to the down pipes you can flex the pipe out the way enough to get the bolt in and out. it is quite sample and should not take long to do .Hope this helps.
