R1200S phone mount?
Has anyone found a good way to mount a phone (for navigation use) inside the R1200S fairing? I bent up a bracket and mounted it on a mirror bolt, but it's a bit crap!
I've got Helibars and need to check if one of the expansion-nut bar extensions (what are they actually called?) will work, or perhaps use one of the fork-centre mounts from Quadlock, etc.

The fork centre mounts won't work generally as you do not have a stem with a hole in it. Better if you can find a bar mount or bracket from the clamp bolts on the yoke

I tapped a thread into my heli bars then mounted a ball ram for my sat nav

Ah, nice idea as the bar end is in clear space. Pic would be great to confirm I'm on the same track...

You can use a simple 'U' clamp and fix to the top yoke as below. You have to sacrifice the black plastic infill piece but that's it and it get's the sat nav / phone in the middle of the bars. It was a quick fix that I never got round to changing.

All done - M8 tapped into the Helibar + a stubby bracket with an Aluminium, 3D-printed round section put my existing cheapie bar-mount for the phone in exactly the right place. I'd bung a photo here but I can't make any 'small' enough!
Thanks for all the useful suggestions.
