Re: Hawes- - July.
Back home. Very enjoyable weekend, The ride down through Weardale and Teesdale was memorable for all the right reasons, dry roads, blue skies and amazing scenery, things got even better on Saturday with Petes mystery tour taking in the highs and lows of the Yorkshire Dales all within a 20 mile radius of Hawes. Very rewarding social occasion meeting up with like minded folk enjoying the motorcycles.
We stayed at the Old Station House , the host Janet was very welcoming and the place was immaculate.
Thanks Peter for hosting this weekend.
Moffat to look forward to.
Chris

Re: Hawes- - July.
Back home - good run back other than 3 miles of filtering to get over the Queensferry Crossing. Good job my panniers are so slim .
It was great to catch up with various Boxertrixers, old and new. Many thanks to Chris and Amanda for leading the Scottish contingent there and back so well, and of course many thanks to Peter for Saturday's brilliant tour of the hills and dales.
Really sorry I won't be at Moffat in October, going away with friends to celebrate birthdays; 3 of the 6 of us have our birthdays on 5 October.
All the best
Ian

Re: Hawes- - July.
Hmm glad you seemed to enjoy the mystery tour, you don't need 150 BHP to enjoy 2 wheels, I enjoyed getting back out with many old friends and sharing memories of times gone bye, hopefully see some of you in Moffat later in the year.

Much like everyone else, really enjoyed the ride and discovering more new roads & incredible scenery in the county that never fails to deliver - North Yorkshire.
Great to meet up with like minded folk & talk motorcycles and such a friendly bunch. Thank you.

Hi all
Chris asked me to give all those at Hawes this weekend an update. He can't get onto the site himself as his computer is at home - and he's in York!
The bike was collected no problem yesterday but they could not get Chris home. In the end his brother-in-law, who lives in York, collected Chris and delivered him to York A&E. They were very good and even better confirmed there was no fracture, just a lot of soft tissue damage.
The bike was delivered home this morning and Philippa, Chris's wife, has gone up to York. They'll be going back to Northampton tomorrow.
Chris wanted to thank everyone who helped him when the bike fell on him and then looked after him afterwards.
I'm sure we're all pleased it all ended with only minor injuries for Chris, and none for the Ducati!
All the best

Re: Hawes- - July.
An excellent weekend for me, other than a dodgy B&B experience.
Good to hear that Chris is not too badly wounded.
Looking forward to Moffat in October.

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
