My garage occupants
With weather turning cold, it is time to shop for used bikes.
Picked up a nearly stock 2001 SV650S, minor body work scratches,
needs carb sync, oil/filter/coolant/brake fluid change, 17k miles. $1250 USD. Lots of potential.
Last month, $1500 cash for 2002 R1150RS with 22k mi., comes with fancy saddle.. small dent in the front wheel, needs some ABS fixing.
Currently in garage:

Nice selection. Pretty much all bases covered with that lot.
Cheers,

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

There are far worse problems to have than owning different motorcycles.

Thanks, looking to add an electric dirt/trail/dual sport bike in the near future.

Re: My garage occupants
Nice collection with the latest ones at least for very little, keep the photos coming if you get an electric bike too.

Re: My garage occupants
I am curious about the Honda. 175cc, 250cc or 35cc?
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

It's a 1972 CL350 Scrambler, the OEM badge from the sidecover is missing.
It needed a clutch cable, tires & tubes, seat could use a new foam cover.
It's was a $400 purchase along with trade of some welding equipment that I didn't use anymore.

Hi None
All good bikes in their own right, I take it you like Hondas
That CL looks 'the part' and very different, haven't seen one before
How often do they get out to play ? Enjoy them all, as I'm sure you do.

Prefer Hondas after owning most other brands in the last two decades.
Some people drink, some smoke or do other hardcore stuff, I buy used bikes, work on them and sell them at a profit.
Hondas seems to keep their value better than others, easy to work on and cheap to purchase when you know how/where to look for them.
The CL350 had been sitting in a barn for ages when I first got it.
I had traded some welding equipment and $400 for it. I cleaned the carbs, it started fine, but had fuel leak b/c I didn't replace the gaskets.
I replaced the gaskets, rode it for about 2k miles until the head gasket blew up. I guess old/vintage 350s are not meant for sustained highway usage.
I gave it away to a friend who really wanted it to trade of a stand-up, coin-operated video game that weighs about the same.
The postie bikes get around town locally for errand runs..
With electric bikes becoming cheaper, I think the postie bikes will get replaced by ebikes; while they still have some value.
Bicycles are also part of my passion.
I've pedaled over 70k miles since 2004 on my one main road bike, the gravel bike in the background I bought the frame in 2017:
All mt bikes are still 26" wheels. I converted one of them to a 45 mph capable ebike:

Re: My garage occupants
Picked up another SV for $600 cash.
01 model, nearly stock, under 8k miles, less than 30 miles ridden in the last 7 years, have been sitting in the last 2 years.
Will need chain/sprockets, fork seals, all fluids, etc..

Re: My garage occupants
Looks tidy..
Whilst not being the prettiest of bikes it's quirkiness has an appeal..
What are they like to ride?.. What's the engine like?
