Greetings from Adelaide Australia

Post by Rudi Esman »

I have recently purchased a very tidy 2003 R1100S after selling my 2007 R1200RT. Needed a lighter bike so went back to the past. I had a 2002 R1100S from new, of the 6 BMW's I have owned this if my favorite. I'm interested to learn of the technical up-dates to the 8/2003 model over the 9/2002 model. I know 12/2002 model came with the dual spark engine, I read somewhere the 6 speed transmission and gear linkage on 2003 model was improved, anyone able to shed any light on the technical improvements for me. Cheers Rudi.

Welcome to the forum Rudi.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
