Just got back from Italy and the Dolomites, clocking up over 3k miles on my R12RS. Have to say I'm very impressed with the bike, even though I've knackered the sides of my boots after 4 days of hooning the Passes in the Stelvio area (the Stelvio itself is very slow and a bit overrated - there are many better where you can carry some speed). I spooned on a new Metzeler ME1 before I went and that's lasted very well despite the big handfuls I had to give the bike to keep up with the Ducati Monkeystradas I was with. I'll be sticking another one of those on sometime soon
Considering I've never really wanted to own a Beemer before, this bike has really changed my opinion. I've a few of my mates a go on it, and they no longer take the mick

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
