Syston Park Speed Trials

Postby Gromit » Sat Sep 09, 2017 8:48 pm

A lovely bit of nostalgia.

Back in the pre-WW2 years, Syston Park near Grantham was a regular venue for hill climbs. Not used for a long time, 3 years ago it was decided to organise a revival meeting for pre-1939 cars and bikes. This was the first time I've been, and it was a fantastic day out - some wonderful machinery (including a Type 35 Bugatti valued at just south of £2M) and a great atmosphere.

Anyway, some photos:

Very nice pictures, as usual.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
