Brake Discs

Post by winny »

Hi all,

I've had to change front wheels recently and swopped the brake discs from the the old one to to the new. Even though the bolts are tight, there is still a small amount of play from side to side. The washers are looking a bit manky. I don't suppose they're meant to be squashable are they? Anyone else had this problem? TIA

Sounds like my RH FR disk, I replaced the large washers, as the disk rattled. I also fitted new bolts, but there is still some movement, so I think the holes in the disk must also be worn. £20.00 for bolts & large washers.

As above but did you also run a tap to remove old loctite from the threads in the wheel (previously discussed at length i think)
