Then the missus will get excited. This purchase benefits no one except the seller.
Hope this is genuine

Makes you wonder. Iv still got the laser system stored having replaced it for the vanderlin cans and y piece , just in case I sell my bcr or need it for the mot.
Since its passed every year with the vanderlins, should I flog the lasers as I have no intention of getting rid of my bcr?
I think I will hang on to em for a while judging by the price paid for them on e bay
Could be a better investment than my pension

I sometimes think that because the bikes are getting fewer, and that many have the tasty bits already - that it is a diminishing market, but ultimately - if you aren't desperate for the money in an instant - then you are correct......... it is money in the bank.
I have kept the laser cans even though I have fitted a Staintune - Some sort of perverse idea that I will return the bike to standard...............
Think I'll spread all the parts out on the grass next summer - and make Motobins jealous

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......

Despite there being newer (R1200s/R1200st & R1200RS) and more powerful other marques of the same era, around - the R1100s/BCR with tasty mods - is still a phenomenal bike on your typical British A/B roads.
Can't see prices going any other direction than............ UP

Thanks for the comments. It is the race system, stamped on it the words that we tend to ignore. I have a friend with a RM BCR and the same system. It fails the noise test Snetterton so first is to have some baffles made by a company near Wellingborough for the both of us. Then I will need to enrich the fuel delivery so hopefully beachcomber will come through with the chip or get a PC. The bike has a Lennies inlet duct and K&N filter and felt noticeable livelier around the track last year and I wasn't even giving it the beans properly. Now at least the sound will have improved if nothing else
A few other things to do to it but all in good time.
You are in fact better off buying a 2nd bike with the Lasers on and swapping the exhaust. I have waited 5 years for this to come along and missed an earlier opportunity to buy a laser system on this forum albeit an original BCR system. There was a Remus race system up for sale on a popular auction site and the money it went for was crazy. Rest easy that as the rarity of the well kept bikes increase so will the rare performance bits. Probably why I'm buying bits and bobs for it and keep it in storage. Another rare thing is the headlight.

I had the Laser Race system already fitted to my bike when I got it, the receipt for them included a new chip that was supplied by Laser, it remained untouched in the ten years I had it until Gerry B had it, I also had Lennies induct and K&N so you may only need to obtain the chip. Cannot remember if the chip number/spec was on receipt, but Gerry should still have it.
