Yes, interesting article. Does anyone on here refresh the Ohlins every year? That's a new one on me. I did have them overhauled, when I first got it, to fix a problem it had.

I'm thinking about getting them done again this winter, along with new tyres, because the handling has gone off a bit recently.

Not every year but had it done twice now (in 6 years) and both times had lost pressure. Worthwhile getting it done though as first time a leaking battery prior to me owning it had eaten part way through the linkage!

Spoke to the techies on the Ohlins stand at this years Motorrad days and they said every 2 years. I don't think mine had been done until I bought the bike. £300 to have both done - no doubt with Brexit the price will increase

The article is a bit fresh to be uploaded on to their web pages (I believe)
but the above is the best I can do.

What interested me was the sponge acoustic material behind the front engine cover being classed as a corrosion inducer... lets face it the engine paint system is shxte anyway on boxers of that era.

Dave, they would say that wouldn`t they? It`s down to mileage, how the bike is used, there is no "Loadonometer" on old style shocks but I dare say there will be on the new electronic ones. Could be handy cos it would do away with bathroom scales! info message on screen "Too many Pies"
