Ahoy the forum,
My mates BMW K1 was clobbered by some passing tw*t the other day - just knocked over with damage to footrests and the fairing. Carol Gnash have deemed it 'uneconomical' to repair.
Does the mass of brain power that is Boxertrix know whether K1 running gear is the same as K100 stuff (apart, obviously, from the fairing)?
If so, it's off to Motorworks or similar (suggestions please) for second handy bits.
...and regarding the fairing - he was quoted £1200 for paintwork which seems, erm, excessive IMHO.
Sooo, if anyone can help, please, please do.
All the best and glad we're back on line.

Re: K1 Query
I'm 99% sure the K1 is the same frame, engine, wheels etc as the 16v K100 - only the bodywork is different.Harry Lime wrote:Does the mass of brain power that is Boxertrix know whether K1 running gear is the same as K100 stuff (apart, obviously, from the fairing)?

Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.
