Not sure I want to ask, Mike

:D

No one was badly hurt but the viffer went home on the back of a truck. Fella binned it in front of me - a little bit too exciting  The next few minutes was a busman's holiday

Popped in for a cup of tea with Tony and Violette on the way south last year. He was on good form.

Have a great time.

Such precious cargo, I'll bet that was one of your most nervous rides ever?
I took my young nephew out for a spin on the back a few years ago, he loved it, I, whilst making sure he enjoyed it, was shitting myself in case some idiot did what idiots do

Great to hear that she loved it :)

Nice. I used to love when my dad took me out on his bike. During the summer I'd pester him as soon as he got in through the door from work. I wouldn't even give him a chance to get his gear off.

I had a red VFR800 until beginning of this year but I let it go as, whilst capable, it was bland. Thought long and hard about the replacement however having owned a new 1100S in 2000 I knew what I wanted, just needed to find the right one. As you say, the VFR is respected but not loved.

Sorry fellas - totally forgot to reply.

Yes, precious cargo indeed but Molly had been pestering me for ages to go for a spin on the bike.

Henners - agree with what you're saying, in fact back in 2003 I owned another red VFR8 and it nearly put me off motorcycling altogether. Now, I just seem to have clicked with it - strange how time (and older bones!) tends to alter one's view of things. But yes, I really like the VFR - it's a wonderfully capable bit of kit - but perhaps not a bike I take a long lingering look at before closing the garage door. Saying that, my 1150GS wasn't but I loved that. :D

They are brilliant bikes, very cheap to buy for what you get. .....
here's mine.
I keep looking for an 1100s to replace it with, but want a nice one with the above bar handle bar conversion :bounce:
