Sim cards and phone numbers

Hi, so for the last 25 years I've had a mobile phone supplied through my job but getting sick of the constant calls when I am off shift so time to sort out a personal phone.
My daughter has Sold me the phone I bought her a couple of years ago which was kind of her its a unlocked iPhone 4.

I do not have a contract or phone number to swap over or keep so If I get a sims only deal will it come with a New phone number?

Your number is associated with the SIM, not the phone, so yes you will get a new number.

Think about what you need (data, calls, texts) and look for a suitable deal. All of the main providers will do SIM only deals. Also check out GiffGaff.
