Hi all
I'm a new member planning on buying an R1100S, mainly because it flips left to right like no other bike I've ridden, because of its gorgeous sound and lovely pipes.
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on whether the fairing can be replaced. It isn't to my taste and taking it off would, I believe, reveal the tank, which also isn't to my taste. Can a new tank and new fairing be put on, does anyone know?
Many thanks
David

Hi
Thanks for the speedy replies and link, which was very close to what I'd like to do but MY LORD that naked petrol tank...
I did wonder about the 1200 and 1150 but the attitude is a bit too sedentary for my riding style and I love those underseat pipes and the grey/silver paint job. There's a crowd of bike guys at a place called - really, this is what they're called - hairy bush bikers, and they have done some amazing custom work. They claim to be able to do anything and I may hold them to their promise and get a front end redesign.
Thanks again for writing so promptly and helpfully.

If it wasn't for the lack of underseat pipes the 1150R Rockster would be more up your street. It's more aggressive than the standard R, has the lower bars and front end of an S and comes in a few pretty wild colour schemes:
