Hi Keith

This is the system I have

Image

Remus, I believe do 3 systems for the R11S. Just a back box, a back box with a single de cat pipe and a back box with the dual pipes as pictured.

On mine the previous owner fitted it and disconnected the Lambda sensor (which with the sports exhaust is apparently a good thing) :)

Not sure about the ceramic pads, never used them. Only time I ever had white wheels was on a GSXR1100K, total PITA on a chain drive bike :)

Not to go too far OT, but…why?
Running part throttle you want good mileage. The lambda sensor takes care of that.
Running WOT, you want max power. But at WOT, as I’ve heard, the Bosch Motronic system goes into open loop (i.e. it “disconnects”, or overrides the lambda sensor).
So at WOT it doesn’t matter if the sensor is connected or not.

dunno, I was just advised running a little rich is a good thing with the remus.

I have a spare lambda but have never put it on because the bike runs very well, seems more than quick enough (for a lazy old twin ;) ) and does between 45 and 50 mpg :)

Running a little rich just for the sake of it is not a good idea. In time, you will have carbon buildup in your combustion chambers, up to the point where you will get engine knock.
Engine knock is bad. Engine knock is really, really bad.

Running weak is worse burnt out valves melted pistons etc
Carbon build up isn't a problem with unleaded
Lanbda sensor with moronic can cause surging when in closed loop

Yup I'm still running wide band lambda sensor and accelerator module
My bike shines when it rains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
