R1200S Starlane Quick Shifter

Post by bones78 »

I bought a Starlane quick shifter for my race R1200S and cannot find a wiring diagram, nor am I any sort of electrician.
Anyone have any experience with this ?

Thanks for any help !

Welcome to the forum and if you don't mind introducing your self under the new trixters section.

Best is to buy a Haynes manual as it has all the wiring diagrams in it. This may help in a way but it doesn't give you the diagram.

Sorry Bones. I see you are state side. Would you accept copies from a Haynes manual to email to you or should I put it up here? At work at moment but I'll see what can be done.

Hi
I have a cordona quickshifter on mine which is a s1000rr unit. If it cuts the spark then you need to wire into the coil caps , 4 in all . You may need some bmw connectors to do this neatly and correctly. Post some photos of the loom you have. I might be able to relate it to mine and give you some pointers.
