Glad to Meet You.

Post by el-nicko »

Was catching a few rays at Herefordshire Aero Club (Shobdon) Sunday (2-6-13) afternoon and got chatting to this couple sitting at the next table. Asked 'em what they were riding. "Guzzi" sez he. "BMW" says she! "Oh yes" I says. "Which one?" "1100" says she (a very tall blonde girl) with a smile. "Which 1100" I ask? "1100S" comes the reply! Well, that was it, "I've got one of those meself!" says I and we immediately launched into a very long and technical conversation concerning the pros and cons of I-ABS and whether to keep it or rip it out. I have to say she really knew her stuff and her bloke was somewhat 'sidelined' whilst this very engrossing/ technical chat was going on. As they 'saddled-up' and before wishing them a safe journey home I gave our forum a few puffs so hopefully she'll pop up in the 'New Trixters' post soon.
Just like to add, 'Shobdon Aero Club' is a very nice destination for us bikers. Good food, snacks and drinks, Friendly to bikers. And lots of different aircraft whizzing about. So come on down? There's hard standing in the big free car park but most bikers ride past that along the 'peri' track, (as this couple did) and park their bikes right in front of the clubhouse where they can sit outside and keep an eye on them whilst enjoying all the facilities.

I'm posting this on a wide-screen monitor which may not suit some other aspect screens. If this is the case can someone advise me how to make it compatible.

Nick.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Welcome Sue, and may I say what a great choice of bike you have there (same colour/year as mine too).

Now I'm putting 2 & 2 together here and may be wrong but would you be the same Sue as I knew back in Kent - down at Iden Ferns perhaps?

Now that would be spooky!
