I'll preface this post by saying that I sit alongside a computer for 8 hours, most days, and dib in out of this site 3 or 4 times a day, so there isn't much that goes on that I don't see.
So, Neds 1100S went weeks ago, and he now has a shiny new 1300 four.
If you trawl through the GS site, the vast majority of owners that have visited Hilltop have 1200GS or the odd 1200RT, which I assume have the same (or very similar) electronic brain as the 1200S. I do know they use the canbus system, which the earlier models do not. However, there is the odd owner who has visited with 1150 GS, which again, I assume, is similar to the 1100 engine/electronics in the S models, and have seen good improvements in the performance of their engines.
There seems to be two schools of thought on improving the performance of boxer engines, and depending on which way you went seems to be influencing how people feel.
Is it PC, dyno time, rocket sprockets, induct (in the case of the 1100S), probably around £1200 and more if you want to keep modifying, or standard bike to Hilltop for a re-map at £350. On paper it looks like a no brainer. But we all like to tinker don't we.
