Not sure. How are you going to filter the air if you cut away the front of the air box?

Shall we say any speed a R1100S could do on our roads the intake appears to be in quite a low pressure area bearing inmind the bow wave of high pressure infront of the bike also think about the working of the plenium chamber in the airbox if the intake was pressurised this effect would be defeated by any high pressure in the intake duct mucking up the fueling [as i said i could be wrong]

it would be handy to have a wind tunnel on hand with the bike running to see if my theory stands water :?:

Hmmm, peeps with those modified intake ducts (lennies?) swear by 'em. Oh and btw, theorys either 'stand up' or 'hold water'. Silly Boy. :roll: :lol: .
