I have the BBpower chip, K12 reg, laser zorst and Lennies induct.
As I'm just coming up to 70k I assume everything is ok with this setup. She'll still rev to the red line in top and is running better now (smoother) than ever.
How about this for an alternative. I am putting together a Megasquirt system for MY VW camper and also for a VW drag race car. Its a programable (via RS232 from a laptop) ECU. It comes in kit form from the US for about £150. The code is open so easy to modify for any extras required, shift light, fan etc. I have modified mine to also run the ignition via a distributor (meggasquirt n spark) there is also code availiable for a ford EDIS type system. People have fitted it to bikes but I havent looked into it and dont know if anyone has done an S before.
Someone with time on their hands want to give it a go? I can advise but I dont have time to do it to my S.

I'll see if he's still there when I'm up there on Thursday and have a chat. From what I recall when I spoke to him at the NEC last year it didn't prove effective across the whole range when they dyno'd it after.
Sorry, didn't get there last week as planned will try again this week. Also not run mine on the road yet with its new regulator, only tried static running.
From my very hazy recollection of the conversation with Mark; the increased pressure doesn't gain any power advantage but does have some effect in certain parts of the rev range. The injectors are still spraying the same pattern for the same time and at some points the fuel was not atomising effeciently for correct burn. This is standard bike except Laser pipe, during 2003 season. Feedback from riders was more positive out on the track in terms of driveability but how much of that was auto suggestive he didn't know

It's not how fast you ride, it's how you ride fast.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.
I've run the K-regulator for almost a year with my system,(which is simular to your setup), and found a marked improvement in the 6000- 8500 rpm range.
The laser system IMO tends to run lean up where I have to run to ride with the R-1s and GSXers in my neighbor hood.
Now that I've installed the SJBMW inserts I may go back to the stock regulator because the pulse from the retangle part of the primary pipe is gone.

I have an FIM chip fitted, had it for the last 6500 miles, also got Staintune, Lennies and K&N filter.
You do not need to set the chip up on a Dyno, just pull the old chip and plug the FIM one in. I too bought mine from Pro-Twins, in fact I was the first person to get the new Twin spark chip.
My bike runs fine, pulls out of corners very nicely, as stated by GSXR 1000 rider behind me and got 145mph on the clock with 500 revs to go on the motorway in Czech Rep on the way to Moto GP at Bruno.

P.S Thank you "Tony Smith" who pointed me in the FIM direction.
A man can fall many times in life but is never a failure until he refuses to get up
Update: ProTwins rang me back today - estimate 2 weeks for deilvery (it has to come from Australia) and they can supply a chip which takes into account all the mods to the bike - Induct/K&N and Laser.
Hi Gromit.
How much was the chip please?
I think ,ine has maybe melted (BBPower).
I changed a jumper setting from stage 2 to 3 today with ignition off... but now with ignition on, fuel pump wont stop and bike wont start.
This doesnt change when reverted to no connectot either so am a bit pissed off. I used the diagram sent from BBpower, for a non twin spark,,, now i have no spark!

My S was running a full Laser exhaust and BBPower chip and the pistons melted. After the rebuild I put the standard chip in and had the bike dyno'd. It was running lean so I put in the fuel pressure reg from the K and wen back to the dyno. Mixture was now very good and power was up a few BHP to around 91 at the wheel. This was at 67,000 miles. If I still owned an S I wouldn't go near an aftermarket chip.
