After removing the BMW bellypan off my S and literally cleaning 1mm of accumulated black road grease from the engine I'm pleasantly surprised to find almost zero corrosion to the engine paint.
Anyone have any tips for keeping the paint on?
I've uncovered a bottle of Ride and Protect in the shed that I inherited with my GS several years ago but the snails have eaten the paper label. Can I use it on the engine?
Cheers

Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.

Yeah , I did think of that but it was too unsightly - even for me. I have a picture that I'll get round to posting. BTW - teh BMW bellypan is really neat and comes off in 4 pieces.adamski49 wrote:Leave the 1mm of accumulated black road grease on the engine?julian wrote:Anyone have any tips for keeping the paint on?
