Heated clothing?

Does anyone have any experience of using heated bike gear? I'm getting seriously bored of waiting out the winter, but I hate getting cold!! Thinking maybe a heated vest would be a good start. Any recommendations?

My wife uses an older BMW vest, she's not impressed, very delicate socket connection so it often fails.

We've been recommended the Keis heated clothing with the li-on battery pack, no wires to worry about and it will keep you warm when you stop for a cuppa.

What about a quilted gilet as a start?

I have had both EXO2 Stormrider and Gerbings Heated jacket liner.

EXO2 is snug and effective but no sleeves in the one I bought....as I ride without a thermal liner because of the heated kit, its a big disadvantage when it gets cold and wet.

The Gerbings is an awesome bit of kit. Not as tight fitting round the body as the EXO2, but overall, it's really toasty...heated sleeves and collar are great.

A controller with the Gerbings is a must if you don't want to fry yourself... it gets really hot if you want it to.... I use the Warm n Safe dual remote (wireless) controller so I can switch from bike to bike easily.

I've used Gerbings stuff for years now. Highly reccomend it.
