I got tickets with camping from the missus as a Christmas present last year and have been looking forward to taking my ten year old son as he’s crazy about super cars. Excitement levels in the wassy household had reached maximum by the time last Wednesday came round and we set off from North Yorkshire for the six hour drive down to Lord March’s pile in our motor home.
Campsite E was our designated area and although we arrived later than the 10pm cut off the staff were fine and showed us to the field where we picked a canny spot close but not too close to the showers and washing up area which were spotless throughout our stay.
In summary the whole experience was unbelievable. The shuttle buses from the campsite were regular and never overcrowded and the staff only too pleased to help.
The whole thing was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves cars and bikes.

Re: Goodwood Festival of speed
Bl**dy hell if Randy is only 60 next year where did he do his paper round? He looks way older than 60 IMHO
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

Re: Goodwood Festival of speed
Looks like a fine day out you had there. I haven't been for a few years now but have always had a great time whenever I visited.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

It was a fantastic weekend no doubt helped by the weather. Star of the show for me was the 28 litre 1910 Fiat ‘ Beast of Turin” that was an incredible sight spitting flames up the hill.

Re: Goodwood Festival of speed
Lovely photos! looks like you had a memorable weekend. The Fiat , 28000cc plus a bit, generating only 290bhp Monster! was actually given a speed trial not far from you on the beach at Redcar/Saltburn back in the early 1900`s. .....according to Wiki. Very impressive motor. I have one of those genus battery tenders it uses for my Boxers!
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
