Postby er-minio » Sun May 17, 2015 10:33 am

As usual... I'll be at Brands GP on June the 4th and the 25th.

On the 4th Metropolis2k is coming along too, so if you see a duo consisting in funny speaking fat guy on HP2 and normal sized lean looking brit on a Boxercup taking the piss at each other, come say hello! :D

I'll also attend Cadwell Park organized by Robert (bins) in July.

Still trying to fit in a date for Snet in September...

I'd like to do another one if possible, but June is out for me, as I've got a trip to Spain in the middle. I'm tempted by the idea of possibly renting a track bike - for one it would be nice to ride something properly set up for the track.

I think there is an option to do so at some MSVT days.
I think Metropolis2k was telling me about that in the office a few weeks ago.

Hi fella,
I'm looking at Brands in June too. I reckon it'll be the 4th for me - hopefully confirming over the next week or so.

As an aside, the day after our BMW day at Cadwell on the 13 July (Monday) there is a general bike trackday (Tuesday). Robert and I are talking about staying up for that and making two days of it. It's a good chance to hammer around without an Instructors Jacket on...

August will be busy too. As well as the second BMW date at Snetterton, we are getting a trip together for the MSVT Road Bike Only date at Oulton Park. sling me a PM with your addy and I'll pop you on my mailing list?

Nice.
The extra day at Cadwell sounds interesting.

I'm bringing the GS to Cadwell as well this year!!! We have spare space in one of the Transit vans. :D :D :D

I reckon it'll be the 4th for me

Keep in mind the only available places on the 4th are for Novice.
Me and Tom are booked in Novice (I'm doing Inters on the 25th).

I'm not really that bothered to ride in the novice group (also, first trackday of the season, I'll take it easy) as I am not that fast to be honest... but might be different for you :)

There is the usual waiting list to be bumped to other groups.

Booked the 4th this afternoon in the inters so we should be in the same group.
I don't think there's much chance of much lapping happening, your HP has has the legs on me and the GP circuit has some long runs to it.

Anyhow, I'll be coming down on the Wednesday evening and stopping at the track. See you there!

Looking at September, there are two dates at Snetterton in Sept:

14 Sept Snetterton General Day
28 Sept Snetterton Open Pit Lane Day

I'm thinking that the Open Pit Day would be a great chance to work on some longer runs?

I feel a bit left out. The time is being spend at work (currently at work) and money is currently being spend on the house and bike. Tried to book a track day last week for Bedford Autodrome end of the month and the groups were full. You guys go and enjoy the days out, I'll catch up at the BMW club days. Hopefully normality would resume by next year but you never know. I do miss a blast around the track.

Good stuff.
Have to swap fairings on the HP (it'll be half painted on the 4th) and Tom's BXC too, then new tyres, new brake pads and I'm set.

Bring some whiteboard markers as we can "decorate" Tom's unpainted bike :D :D :D :D

Josef, I'll see you at Cadwell then? Are you coming to that one or not even there?

Ahem... I'm a fat fuck... now that I switched to the HP, I get really tired towards the end of the afternoon session... I'm ok with 20 minutes :D

Both dates seem cool to me though. Could book either.

Just worried open pitlane might be a bit messy as I'm on the slower end and I will find myself on track at the same time as some seriously fast people.

Hi Josef,

Glad to see you'll be at the BMW Days. It'll be great to catch up. Do you think you could stretch to a second day at Cadwell?

Maybe, you do need to feel comfortable or you wont enjoy it. I only suggested it as I really enjoy the longer sessions, I'm just getting into the swing of it at the end of a 20 minute session! I'll admit it is tiring though.

I was going to leave booking that until later - theres no rush, I doubt the September dates will be sold out for a while yet.

Dates I'm doing this year:

4 June Brands GP General Day BOOKED
12 July Cadwell Park BMW Day BOOKED
13 July Cadwell Park General Day
5 Aug Oulton Park RBO Day
17 Aug Snetterton BMW Day BOOKED
14 Sept Snetterton General Day OR 28 Sept Snetterton Open Pit Lane Day

Three booked, I'll be booking the rest over the next month...
