I think we should introduce a rule that states only trixters of pensionable age are allowed to attend in their car

the rest of you should hang your heads in shame

As a person in receipt of a pension I am happy with that rule, probably not the pension you mean Steve, but a pension is a pension

"No such thing as bad weather, just bad kit"..... come on the bikes aren't made of sugar :)

On a positive note when the weather's inclement it keeps the boy racers away and as a result north Wales police :)

Steve

Sorry but we are not going to make it at the weekend.
Tracy is still having to use crutches, although she could possibly have ridden pillion.
But due to major removals company cockup (I am moving and need 2 x 7,5 ton truckloads and they only did one today) so I have had to hire a Luton box van on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to finish it myself with a mate.
Gutted, but hope to meet up later in the year or at the Ponderosa etc.
Have a good ride and drinking session.

Saturdays Ride out

Postby Boxered » Thu Apr 24, 2014 9:01 pm

I know most of you are regulars and are obviously aware of the etiquette for a trixter ride out, but for the benefit of those with amnesia or for our 1st timers here are the basics

We meet in the car park of the Wild Pheasant hotel at 9-30 am for a 10am sharp departure.
Please ensure that you have enough fuel to cover the morning route of approx. 120miles ( if anyone has a shorter tank range than that please make yourself known at the 1st coffee stop which will be 60miles in)

An empty bladder makes for a more comfortable 60 miles over bumpy twisty roads.

We use the tried and tested drop off system of marking junctions, if you are not familiar with this system please ask before we set off.

we will have a brief group hug before departure where you may ask any relevant questions.

That is all...carry on :D

Just remembered this early post from nick, if we could get our shit together early enough that'd be good.

Oh, and if anyone has camera.....

Just had a call from Dai Whiskers ... he, Anne and R11S have had an "incident" with a car, apparently no drastic injuries but they'll be unpacking and transferring the kit to their car so may be a tad later arriving tonight :)

Home safe and sound about 3 1/2 hours as opposed to 5 1/2 on the way down. Many thanks to Steve and Steve for all their hard work sorting the route (and anyone else involved!) Fantastic weekend, good to meet up again.

Anyone thought of a social weekend event in the cold winter months just to talk Boxerbollox? (well, to drink as well). Just a thought
