All i did was complain about having the toilets upstairs they told me their was a lift i told them i was claustophobic and was not getting in a bloody lift one thing led to another in the end they told us to leave and not come back i think it was the first time Ann had ever been banned from a pub!

Ann just called the bracelett has broken! sounds like a link on the clasp has broke

When i went on my walkabout on sat i found the pub i had been looking for on friday walk up the avenue get to the corner where spoons is turn right about 50yds there is the pub

Ay up! Sorry for the late check in - no, I didn't topple over again on the way home  . I had a serious brownie point defecit to make up when I got there - not allowed to log on.

Thanks Phil and Karen for organising a cracking weekend. Thanks Ewen, sorry Ryan  , for your TEC/road sweeping and er... temporary sunglasses bag repair. Thanks Stogumber Andy for the slightly less temporary tape repair. Thanks Steve for picking my bike up rather than take a photo 8) . Thanks BMW for the 2 bloody great crash protectors with 'magnesium' written on 'em. Kiss my @rse God for the 28" inside leg :(

In Reg's second beach photo it looks like Peter's contemplating doing a Reggie Perrin having seen the state of his rear tyre :D

Seriously, it was a pleasure meeting, socialising and riding with the 'Box of Tricks' posse. I'll have to see if the few snaps I took are worth putting on.

Phil, that Weddon Cross route to Taunton and the Corfe road to Chard were spot on - hardly any traffic. Cracking ride home (in the dry 8) ). Cheers!

Finally, happy 50th wedding anniversary Reg and Gwen :occasion7:

That would be the Queens Head, used to be a spit and sawdust pub! Now it's more of an Ice Cream parlour pub lol

South West weekend

Postby Ryan » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:44 pm

Well-what a weekend. Great to meet everyone that came on the south west weekend- my first ride out with boxer trix crew (as tail end charlie) and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Shepherding everyone around without major incident!!!! broken indicator, getting hijacked by a larger group (with some very strange looking odd bodds) at the tea stop on a ride out, learned how heavy my GS is when full of fuel () !!! dodging sheep, horses and cows on Dartmoor then dead pheasants and other debry and dead stuff on the valley road...After a flat battery, all home safe and sound with a severe lack of rubber!!!! However a mate had a part worn tyre free to a good home but £20 fitting charge- Bargain!!! Sorry it was not a dunlop, but sure if i had a bit more time i'd have found one. Sorry didnt get to see you all off on sunday morning but got talked into going on another ride out. Thanks popsky great organising. looking forward to seeing you all in wales in April. Ryan & Helen

Ay up Ryan, didn't realise you'd taken the plunge and joined Box of Tricks. £14 well spent I reckon... [smilie=mutley laugh.gif]

Fingers crossed I'll see you in Wales next year - see if we can both stay upright eh?
