Cheap weekend in Wales with excellent company

Postby ianc53 » Sun Apr 08, 2018 7:34 am

I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out of the Welsh trip. A friend here in Cupar has died and his memorial service is on Friday so that will take precedence.
All a bit of a shock. He was cycling with some friends in Spain and dropped dead of a heart attack. He was only 63 and to all intents and purposes fit and well. The local crematorium is fully booked through into May so they decided to hold the memorial service asap and have a private funeral once they can.

I've paid a non-refundable deposit of £40 a night on a room for the 2 nights so if anyone was thinking of going but hadn't committed it's there for the asking. Effectively you'd get the room at half price.

I'm disappointed not to be going, but looking forward to the Border Reveirs run later in the year.

Cheers

Lonely ride down for Boxerscott. Looks like bike is going in van.

Give your mate a good send off Ian. I hope the Buffet is a good un!

Maybe we can organise a ride up your way before Rievers.?

Sorry about that Chris, we'll do our best for Charlie. He must have had a premonition, he retired 10 years ago as he'd seen others never get to 65.

Certainly up for a ride before Rievers, any time you fancy.

Cheers

I'm pleased to say the room has been taken on by another 'Trixter. I'll leave it to him to confirm his attendance... data protection and all that :) .
