R1100S. Had bought a used one from Motorworks years ago when my steering damper first failed.
Last MOT in Feb 22 and that one had also failed - damper movement was sticky. Its been taken off and the bike passed the MOT.
I have a high bar kit on the bike and can't say I notice any real difference in how now steers without a damper.
If you are minded to still have one on the bike I think Hyperpro may do a replacement.

Re: Leaking steering damper.
What Wicker said. I removed it from the BCR I had, bike was easier to push about.

Re: Leaking steering damper.
Assuming that you are able to get suitable seals is it not possible to rebuild?
