R11S Rear Indicators - Alternatives

Wondering if anyone has found a good replacement for the 11S rear indicators.

Last owner of might clipped (and broke) the LHS stem. It's temp fixed at the moment, and I can always get a new stem, but wondering if anyone has found alternative light units that sit closer to the frame, but are still in keeping with the original look of the bike.

So many of the OM units on ebay etc are too modern for the look of the bike.

Worst case I'll get a new stem, and see if I can strengthen them somehow to avoid the clumsy foot breakages...

Might be too modern but I think the current LEDs a la GS fit. I’ve got them on my 12S and they look good

Curious if the standard BMW relay copes with LEDs or is a resistor required?

At least copies of the R1200GS indicators are relatively cheap on eBay

Am I right in thinking that if it’s can bus then led should work without other modifications, as Dave the German my 06 build R12s has the led rear indicators fitted no problems, R12s being can bus

11S is pre can-bus wired and all the better for it IMO

My mate had them fitted to his 11S. I'll ask if he needed to fit resistors. Google Ali express - loads of things from China. Indicators same pattern as newer BMs very cheap - in fact any parts you are after, especially if they're cosmetic seem to be very cheap

They need a resistor for sure.

I have Gen1 S1000R indicators on mine, they are not LED but they have a smaller bulb than usual which makes them flash fast without a resistor. They aren't a direct fitment but I didn't find them difficult to adapt.
