Hi,
Just putting my 1200S back together. Should there be a washer behind the nut on the bolt that secures the top rear shock mount?
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon.
It's just a nut, it has a 'built-in' washer.

Re: Rear Shock Top Mount Assembly Question
Is it the ovaloid nut? these were supposed to be one use nuts and replaced each time they were removed then I think they were supposed to be superseded by a multi use nut (although the replacements I got were still of the ovaloid variety)

Hi
Thanks guys, it’s the ovaloid nut.
Another query I have noticed that the head of the top mount bolt passes through the left hand side hole in the mounting bracket is that right?
Regards,
Jon

On the RT/GS/ST, I'm sure the top bolt goes in from the right side, when sitting on the bike - I would assume it's the same on the S.
